I started weight training at 13 to help with my competitive roller skating. My sister and I competed on national levels and weights helped our leg strength to get through our routines. I continued to weight train through college as I was on an athletic (and academic) scholarship for fast-pitch softball.

How did you get started in the fitness industry?
in 2003 made a New Year's resolution to compete. Had no idea what I was doing but ended up placing in the top 10 out of 135. I hired a trainer immediately afterwards as I knew I wanted to keep going!

What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment?
The wonderful relationship I have built with my parents.

Is fitness modeling/ competition your full-time job?
No.

What are your long-term goals?
To eventually have children and publish a children's book.

What supplements do you use?
T2 Fatburner, Glutamine, Creatine, Protein Powder, Multivitamin

How do you motivate yourself to stay in shape?
Most of my family memebers are overweight and are battling numerous health problems. Hearing about their battles and medications keeps everything in perspective for me.

What tips would you give to someone who wanted to get into the fitness modeling (or fitness competition)?
Do your homework. See some shows, talk to other athletes, etc. Don't walk into a competition without knowing what to expect. You should walk on stage with confidence, not looking like a rookie.
