Our Exclusive Interview with Ms. DeeAnn Donovan

How did you get started in the fitness industry?
I was living a very unhealthy life, but began collecting fitness magazines, looking through them, wishing I looked like the models.
I literally woke up one day, and challenged
myself to getting in shape, quitting smoking and drinking, and to begin living a healthy, new life.


What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment?
Quitting smoking!

Is fitness modeling/ competition your full-time job?
Yes, modeling is my full-time job. I travel quite a bit, but I also personal train women
in my gym on the side,life coach women,and whatever else happens to come my way.
There's always something new each and every day which makes this a very exciting business!

What are your long-term goals?
I have done lots of bits and pieces on radio and television, but would love to have a regular spot on a television show.

What supplements do you use?
At age 40, I've found that my body has changed very much. Therefor, I only use BCAA's, protein shakes and take a multi vitamin.

How do you motivate yourself to stay in shape?
I simply take a look at my kids, and my husband and realize that how much I want to be around to enjoy them for as long as possible!

What tips would you give to someone who wanted to get into the fitness modeling (or fitness competition).
1). IF you BELIEVE-you WILL ACHIEVE!!!!!
2). Set your goal, research it, work as hard as possible to reach it, then move on to a new goal.
3). Most importantly, have fun with anything and everything you do in life!!!! Look in the mirror.
If you don't have a smile on your face, you're doing the wrong thing!!
