Christians
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

What I am
I was born me. I am as I am. A dying figment.
Instilled in me is the enablement to breathe,
talk, walk, see feel and most of all love!
Then change occurs and there is me; LOVE
Love its a shadow, that hovers over you constantly
without a break in sequence.
During your waking hours it is there decieving
those ordinary and unpure thoughts inside your
head. Driving your soul to the limits. In the
midst of the serene hours that follow, my shadow
is arriving again. Just in time to blind your
choices and causes the soul to become homonely
indispensed. Engaging the darkness in the game
of heat until several reps have been achieved.
Yet there is no winner except for the hovering
shadow that giveth birth to you in the first place.
One moment in time freely casting away all values
and trust within ones gut. This only leads to a
deception you believe to be the strong, over
powering and forementioned shadow of me,love....
It is dying;
Time it comes fast and leaves slowly during
which the realization hits that alls been a
mirage in the mind.
Me,I am ...
I am me and this is my figment dying all the while.
